Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc Episode 7 Review - Tanjiro and Co. Kick Some Demon Butt
Wow, what an awesome episode! Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc episode 7, called "Awful Villain", was full of action and emotion. It continued the epic fight against the Upper Rank 4 demon Hantengu, who split into four different forms based on his feelings. Tanjiro, Nezuko, Genya, and Muichiro had to deal with Hantengu's anger, fear, sadness, and happiness, while also watching out for Gyokko, another Upper Rank demon who was messing with the swordsmiths.
Tanjiro vs Hantengu's Anger Form
The episode started with Tanjiro chasing after Hantengu's main body, which looked like a kid. Tanjiro used his nose to sniff him out, but Hantengu sent out his anger form, a huge muscle-bound demon with four arms and two heads. Tanjiro managed to cut off one of his arms, but Hantengu grew it back and hit him with a strong blast of air. Tanjiro flew away and landed on a tree, where he met Genya.
Genya's Backstory and Gun
Genya told him that he ate some of Hantengu's flesh and got some of his powers. He also told him his backstory and why he wanted to be a Hashira. He said he was the younger brother of Sanemi Shinazugawa, the Wind Hashira, who left him and their family when they were attacked by demons. Genya blamed Sanemi for their parents' death and swore to beat him as a Demon Slayer. He also showed him his special gun that could shoot demon parts as bullets.

Nezuko vs Hantengu's Fear Form
Meanwhile, Nezuko fought against Hantengu's fear form, a creepy demon with long hair and lots of eyes. Nezuko used her blood demon art to make explosive blood balls that burned the demon. But Hantengu's fear form could heal and make copies of himself. Nezuko was surrounded by tons of fear demons who tried to bite her.
Tanjiro and Genya vs Hantengu's Anger Form (Again)
Back to Tanjiro and Genya, they teamed up to fight against Hantengu's anger form. Tanjiro used his Water Breathing technique to make water dragons that clashed with Hantengu's air blasts. Genya used his gun to shoot demon bullets that went through Hantengu's body. They did a lot of damage on Hantengu's anger form, but he still didn't give up.

The Appearance of Hantengu's Happiness Form
The episode ended with a big surprise, as Hantengu let out his happiness form, a smiling demon with wings and horns. He flew above the village and got ready to drop a huge attack on Tanjiro and Genya.

Final Thoughts
Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc episode 7 was a super cool and fun episode that showed how good Tanjiro and his friends are. The episode also gave us more info about Genya, who turned out to be a great friend despite his bad attitude. The animation and sound were amazing, as always, making me feel like I was there with them. The episode also made me excited for the next one.
