The Ancient Magus' Bride is a fantasy romance anime series based on the manga of the same name by Kore Yamazaki. The story follows Chise Hatori, a girl who can see magical creatures and who is sold to Elias Ainsworth, a mysterious magus who becomes her teacher and husband. Together, they explore the world of magic and learn more about each other.

In episode 7, titled "Slow and Sure. I", we see the past and present of Philomela Sargant, one of the students at the College of Magic.
